Sweet apricot smelling chanterelle buttons abound! (Or at least they’re getting started). Either way, they’re available for now. Summer chanterelles are either a fleeting phenomena soon to be dried by a blazing change in weather, or are the actual slow beginning of chanterelle season. Hard to say for sure, but who cares! Maybe that’s what makes them so special. Roasted whole with corn or any other assortment of delicious summery preparations await the would be enjoyer of said chanterelle. The time is now friends.
